For the Middle Eastern Cream Filo Pie recipe, mix 60g softened butter with halva and tahini with a whisk; Add the cornstarch, egg, powdered sugar, a tablespoon of sesame seeds, and a pinch of salt and continue working the mixture.
For the cake: melt 70 g of butter in the microwave and spread the inside of a cake ring (16 cm in diameter) with it. Unroll the filo dough and, using the ring as a cookie cutter, cut 2 discs, then search for 12 round sheets. Place a first sheet on greaseproof paper, spread it with a little melted butter and sprinkle with icing sugar; superimpose a second sheet and proceed in this way, obtaining a stack of 6 sheets. With the remaining 6 sheets, prepare another pile in the same way. Wash the plums, divide them in half, remove the pit and cut them into small pieces. Place the greased circle on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, insert a stack of phyllo dough sheets, spread out the Middle Eastern cream and prunes. Grease the second pile of filo pastry on both sides and place it over the plums, pressing lightly so that it sticks well. Sprinkle with icing sugar and bake at 180 ° C for about 40 minutes. Decorate the cake with 2 tablespoons of sesame and serve with your choice of fresh plums, cut in half and aromatic herbs.
